My Golf Story
I picked up my first club when I was 2. A video link below shows the first video my dad made of me. One thing you may notice is my passion for the game. This has not changed even though I am now 17 years old, carry a +2.4 handicap and was named captain of Sequoyah's high school golf team when I was a freshman.
I have been fortunate enough to work with some amazing coaches who are listed below (SCROLL DOWN TO VIEW ALL).
Above all, I believe in promoting the integrity of the game, playing by the rules and always being a good ambassador for golf.
THIS SHORT VIDEO IS GUARANTEED TO MAKE YOU SMILE.
The Amazing Coaches I have been fortunate enough to learn from:
Chris Asbell
I worked with him for about 3 years starting when I was 5. I won my first golf tournament at 6 against much older kids.
Corky Nesbit
I started working with Corky when I was about 10. He learned to play from Butch Harmond's dad. He taught me the importance of "feel" in both the full swing and short swing. Corkey was an accomplished PGA professional who shot 59 in a PGA event.
Bill Murchison
I worked with Bill from the age of 12-15. He taught me several things including getting deeper in my swing, and the importance of the short game (especially flighting my wedges low).
Jamal Gibson
I have worked with Jamal through Bill's program. Jamal is an amazing fitness coach focused on golf strength and preventing injuries. He has worked with several PGA players to help them increase strength and flexibility. I have learned how to workout from Jamal from our 1 on 1 sessions.
Tim Weinhart
Tim is my current coach. Tim is awesome! I have been working with him for about a year. He is an accomplished player, was recently inducted into the Georgia hall of fame, and has helped me solidify my fundamentals. He has also strengthened my confidence in my abilities.
Mike Granato and Shawn Webb Athletic Motion Golf (AMG)
I learned so much about the golf swing from Mike and Shaun. My first lesson was on their "GEARS" system that allows them to record every aspect of my swing in 3D. Learning how my skeleton (hips, spine, etc) work and learning what pro's vs. amateurs do in their swings really helped me understand how the golf swing works.
